ARMS Medical Podcast for Women: Introduction to Red Alinsod, M.D.

Rob Greer and I have worked together for almost two decades. I first met him when he was a representative for Caldera Medical almost 20 years ago. He saw me invent and get patents on the Lone Star Retractor, Sling with Bladder Support, System for Pelvic Reconstruction, Alinsod Table, ThermiVa, etc. I happened to be in Fort Lauderdale for a Cosmetic Gynecology Congress last week and we bumped into each other at a cadaver course being given by my famous friend Marco Pelosi. Rob and I had worked together most recently on the shape and design of VNew, a human dermal product for repairing fallen bladders and rectums and uteruses and vaginas. He pulled me into a room with lots of audio and video equipment and this is our short discussion and catch up on what I have been up to. Enjoy.

My original anterior wall design created for Caldera/MPathy/Coloplast way back starting in 2002-2008 and then refined for another decade. Much copied.

The most recent iteration of my designs came out as VNew for both anterior and posterior wall repairs. Made of shaped human dermis. Rob founded ARMS Medical and has helped change many lives.

I presented this type of surgery last year at an International Society meeting in 2022. I presented the non-shaped dermal graft at this same meeting in 2021 also.

It is great to see many women benefit from a lifetime’s worth of creation and design. Thanks for the invitation to talk to your audience.
