Now it is time to get into the nitty gritty of Cosmetic Gynecology. I will spend much of this summer writing, talking, and teaching about the various procedures commonly done in my practice. I will show you lots of photos and pictures so you understand the lingo and the actual procedures performed in the office and operating room. But first, let’s define and discuss what all the procedures are.
I hope you all join my newsletter and become paid subscribers. It is really cheap for all the first hand info you will get from me. Ten buck a month is all. Contact me and ask me questions HERE.

Vaginal Rejuvenation/Vaginoplasty
This aesthetic vaginal surgery aims to remove excess vaginal skin to narrow the diameter of the vagina resulting in a smaller and tighter introitus (opening) and vaginal vault. The aim is to increase the frictional forces during sex. This is usually done in the operating room under general or spinal anesthesia or under local anesthetic with some sedation. In my practice this is typically done in the office procedure room awake and without an IV. We use a radiofrequency device to make exceptionally precise and minimally traumatic incisions as well as standard cautery devices to control bleeding. It takes 1-2 hours to do this procedure.
Perineoplasty/ Perineorrhapy
The visible area between the vagina and the rectum is called the perineum. This is the region where episiotomies are cut and where tears during childbirth are most common. Perineoplasty (or Perineorrhaphy) aims to make this region appear normal by excising excess skin, loose skin tags, and suturing the underlying muscles or the perineal body closer together to give a more snug feeling in the introitus or vaginal opening. This procedure has been advertised by many to “Enhance Sexual Gratification.” The procedure almost always accompanies vaginoplasty since you are working in the same area. This procedure takes about 30-45 minutes to complete.
