This is Part 2 of the Leaky Bladder series started last week made for the Lay Public. The Leaky Bladder is one of the most common conditions I see everyday, my Bread and Butter. This week I cover the non-surgical treatments. Next week I cover Slings Surgery with detailed photos and videos.
Allright, let’s get right down to it. What can be done for the leaky bladder?
Will present the different treatments for the different causes of leakage
Will give you the pros and cons
Will discuss what is typically covered by insurance and what is not
Will share with you resources I have for my patients.
So join in, sign up for this newsletter and get a free online consultation of treatments. Very happy to get to share with you what my patients are presented and taught as options for their Leaky Bladder problems. At the bottom is also the Webinar Video that goes into great details about these common issues facing today’s women.
First, I have to break down the two main conditions that cause a Leaky Bladder. Read The Leaky Bladder Part 1 from June 3, 2022 if you have not already done so. It is a necessary preamble to this week’s topic of treatments.
For the Leaky Bladder caused by coughing, sneezing, laughing, jumping, the column on the left below are the options of treatment. That condition is called Stress Incontinence.
For the Leaky Bladder that results from sudden urge to pee out to nowhere, triggered by sights/sound of water, driving up a driveway, putting the key in a door, and certain foods, waking up at night to pee, this is called Overactive Bladder or OAB. The options on the right column are reviewed in this newsletter.
Let’s go over these. I will just cover from top to bottom starting on the left column then move to the right side column. Some topics are in both categories.
