Understanding the Gaping Vagina and Queefing
What is a Gaping Vagina? A "gaping vagina" refers to a condition where the vaginal opening or canal becomes unusually wide or loose. This can lead to a decrease in sexual satisfaction, physical discomfort, and emotional distress due to changes in body image. Queefing is vaginal flatulence or gas. These two often travel together.
Causes from Childbirth Trauma:
Stretching and Tearing: During childbirth, especially with large babies or multiple births, the vaginal tissues can stretch significantly or tear, leading to increased vaginal laxity.
Muscle Damage: The pelvic floor muscles can also be affected, compromising their support and causing the vagina to feel less tight or to protrude.
