Several years ago I met a young and friendly doctor, Daryl Daley, MD, at one of the meetings I was presenting at in Florida. He had trained with Dr. David Matlock of Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute after the completion of his residency. Daryl was aggressively pursuing a career in Cosmetic Gynecology. He was one of the very first surgeons to sign up and really dive in and learn from my online Cosmetic Gynecology platform called Gynflix. He loved my detailed training videos and wanted me to share my 30 years of experience with other doctors. Daryl headed up the Continuing Education programs for ACOG (American College of OBGYN) District 4 (DC, GA, MD, NC, SC, VA, WV, Argentina, Puerto Rico, West Indies) last year and invited me to speak at their District 4 Congress. This is the less aggressive way to get the opening of vaginas tighter and with the correct angle for stimulation as well as a way to improve tissues and nerves using PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma or the O-Shot TM) but with less downtime and risk.

My personal take on Vagilangelo R/TM is that it is easy to do, easy to recover from. A great option if you want minimal downtime and recovery and less cost. It will not fix a fallen bladder, fallen rectum, or a leaky bladder. Think of it this way: if you want the most aggressive and full length repair of a loose and saggy vagina then get a Vaginoplasty using the Levatorplasty technique I have taught for 30 years. If you only want the opening of the vagina tightened and the gaping reduced then do a Perineoplasty. That fixes the space between the opening of the vagina and the opening of the anus. That basically fixes what childbirth tore apart. If your perineum is not damaged and you just want the opening of the vagina tightened to the level of the hymen so that you and your partner can have increased friction then do the Vagilangelo R/TM. I actually would recommend the use of PRP or the O-Shot in all of the procedures above. It improves healing and potentially improve sensitivity. So remember this, Levatorplasty > Perineoplasty > Vagilangelo R/TM in terms of aggressiveness and tightening effects. Talk to your doc about these surgical options to improve your sexual function. Second chances are always great after traumatic childbirth, aging, and menopause.

What is The Vagilangelo R/TM procedure?

In some women, with age and advancing child birth, this angle CAN be permanently lost due to the perineum (distance between the opening of the vagina and the anus) shortening and flattening. This causes the opening of the vagina to widen and the “angle” to become horizontal (vs downward) in nature which leads to a loss of stimulation of the G Zone and an overall lack of sexual gratification. There may also be an associated pelvic relaxation or loss of tone at the opening of the vagina and / or it’s entire length.
Traditional vaginoplasty/perineoplasty procedures rectifies this problem by reducing the internal and external diameters of the vagina and the cosmetic reconstruction of the perineum. This results in a narrower vaginal barrel and restoration of the “angle” with the additional benefit of giving the perineum a more youthful look. There is a subsequent increase in sexual gratification. This procedure is extremely effective with a 95% success rate and good patient satisfaction. It is also intended to be a permanent procedure.
However, there is an associated prolonged healing time (6-8 weeks), risk of wound break down, inability to deliver vaginally for future deliveries and the lengthy surgery time under anaesthesia (local, spinal or general).
The Vagilangelo R/TM Procedure is a 20 minute procedure which rebuilds the angle of pleasure by rebuilding tissue and collagen at the level of the hymen above the perineum. It is also combined with PRP (platelet rich plasma) to the vagina and G Zone. It was designed by New York Cosmetic Gynaecologist Dr. Amir Marashi (@nycgyno).
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia and has less complications when compared to traditional vaginoplasty/perineoplasty procedures. Patients are able to resume intercourse within four to five weeks and are also able to deliver vaginally for future deliveries. It is intended to be a permanent procedure.
The degree of tightening offered with the Vagilangelo R/TM procedure IS NOT AS significant as a full vaginoplasty/ perineoplasty however it is vastly improved with good patient satisfaction.
This procedure can also be combined with a perineoplasty for aesthetic purposes.
This procedure is not a replacement of traditional vaginoplasty/perineoplasty procedures but rather an alternative for women who do not want to partake in a full surgery.

Dr. Daryl Daley was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. Both his parents were medical doctors, his father being an established OBGYN and his mother a Paediatrician. Dr. Daley’s dream was to be an OBGYN and he determined to do so. He attended the Wolmer’s Boys High School. He received his undergraduate medical training at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus in Trinidad and the Mona campus in Jamaica. He then received his postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University Hospital of the West Indies, Spanish Town Hospital and the May Pen Hospital graduating with a Doctor of Medicine (DM) from the University of the West Indies .
